Our Future is Clean is ACI’s bold new campaign highlighting the cleaning industry’s efforts toward a clean, sustainable world and to promote consumers’ health and well-being.
ACI is proud to lead an industry movement involving the biggest companies in the cleaning sector. Working collectively, our 140-plus members are harnessing our combined influence to seek ways to address the sustainability challenges facing the world today.
Together we are making a real difference to the industry’s footprint – through eliminating waste, preserving resources and confronting climate change by reducing emissions. Collectively, we are helping ensure our resources and ecosystems are preserved into the future.
It’s time for action
The scientific consensus is clear: tackling climate change is essential for a sustainable future. We must also work to meet our current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. Society cannot continue to live as it does now, using ever-dwindling resources and generating vast amounts of waste and carbon emissions.
If people are to enjoy a livable tomorrow, behavior must change today – by reducing emissions, using less and recycling, reusing and repurposing more, and by creating a true circular economy in which waste no longer exists.
We know that the world belongs to all of us, and the global challenges we face can only by met through everyone working together. That’s why we support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which provide a clear path to make a real impact for good across the globe in areas like health, hygiene, climate action, human rights, education, inclusion and equality for all.

As well as tackling environmental challenges, Our Future is Clean will also showcase how our industry is solving social concerns, especially through transparency and communication. Consumers need to have confidence in the products they buy, knowing they are safe and effective, and made with respect for people and the planet. ACI companies want to provide people with the information they need to make informed decisions to enhance their own health and well-being when selecting the cleaning products they will use in their homes.
