Our Future Is Clean is ACI’s campaign highlighting the cleaning products industry’s efforts toward a clean, sustainable world and to promote consumers’ health and well-being.
ACI is proud to lead an industry movement involving the biggest companies in the cleaning product sector. Working collectively, our 140-plus members are harnessing our combined influence to seek ways to address the sustainability challenges facing the world today.
If people are to enjoy a livable tomorrow, behavior must change today – by reducing emissions, using less and recycling, reusing and repurposing more and creating a true circular economy in which waste no longer exists. Together, we can make a real difference in achieving our sustainable goals, helping to ensure a vibrant future.
Action on Climate Change
The scientific consensus is clear: tackling climate change is essential for a sustainable future. We must also work to meet our current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. Society cannot continue to live as it does now, using ever-dwindling resources and generating vast amounts of carbon emissions.
That is why we’re issuing a challenge for all of us to do our part to stay within the 1.5°C warming pathway and reach net-zero global emissions by 2050.
Circular Packaging Ambition
Packaging is a priority topic for action. Cleaning product packaging is essential for the safe transportation and storage of products. It also serves as a communication tool to help people use the product safely. In accordance with the principles of a circular economy, our challenge around product packaging is to design out waste and pollution and keep materials in use, while maintaining the packaging’s essential functions.
The ambition we are striving for is for all cleaning product packaging to be circular. Everyone will need to do their part to complete that circle, from package creation to recycling and back again.
