Understanding and improving the environmental performance of the industry is a key priority for the American Cleaning Institute. As an essential step to reaching this goal, ACI began tracking industry-wide data on member facility operations in 2009 and reported results publicly in our first biennial Sustainability Report in 2011. Since then, ACI has published four reports showcasing our industry work in sustainability.
The ACI Sustainability Metrics Program takes a snapshot of progress toward sustainable development by aggregating the environmental metrics of member companies participating in the program. Our most recent dataset includes five key performance metrics (Energy, Climate, Water, Waste, and Health & Safety).
