ACI Member Sustainability News: Dropps, Oxiteno and RB

ACI is enthusiastic about every opportunity to celebrate and promote the sustainability success stories of all our member companies. With countless efforts underway in companies large and small, we believe it is important to support and promote their activities year-round.

In the news this week:

Dropps is demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the environment by partnering with Keep America Beautiful, one of the nation’s most iconic nonprofit organizations. Beginning in April, in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful Month, Dropps will donate 10 percent of sales for the entire year to Keep America Beautiful on every new wash plan subscription or new customer product purchase.

Oxiteno receives international recognition for its water management by CDP, an international non-profit organization that has developed a system to encourage companies to measure and disclose their environmental impacts. Committed to sustainability in all its processes, Oxiteno water management efforts are taking place across its 12 industrial plants in South and North America.

RB launched both its 2016 Sustainability Report which outlines RB’s new governance structure as well as the company’s progress towards its 2020 environmental and social goals. Key highlights include a 19.1% reduction in waste per unit of production against the original target of 20% by 2020, a 31.8% reduction in water use per unit of production, and a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
