Poison Prevention Activity Sheet bothWashington, DC, March 22, 2016 – A new coloring sheet – developed by the American Cleaning Institute (ACI – – provides parents and caregivers with an activity they can use to teach their young children what they should and should not play with.

Now available for free on ACI’s website, the activity sheet reminds us that household products –such as liquid laundry packets – should never be within the reach of children.

"Children act fast and accidents can happen in an instant," says Nancy Bock, ACI Senior Vice President, Education. "But prevention is simple. Accidents involving liquid laundry packets and other household products can easily be prevented with safe use and storage."

Accompanying ACI’s new activity sheet are simple accident prevention tips and the toll-free phone number for the Poison Control Center hotline: 1-800-222-1222. The activity and tip sheets were released during the 2016 National Poison Prevention Week, held annually during the third week of March.

ACI is a longtime active member and supporter of the Poison Prevention Week Council (, which provides messages year-round to help prevent accidental poisonings in the home.
