ACI engaged with the approximately 1,000 school nurses and community health professionals attending the National Association of School Nurses’ 48th Annual Conference in June, providing them with an opportunity to learn about the Institute and its commitment to keeping children safe and healthy.

ACI shared our handwashing and laundry safety materials and messages with the conference attendees who will then incorporate the materials into learning opportunities in the upcoming school year, as they work to ensure children stay healthy and in school learning.

ACI also provided information on ways that the attendees can receive free science-based, non-branded resources and information about the safe use and storage or cleaning products.
During the Conference, ACI invited the school nurses to create a handwashing project with their students and to apply for national recognition with the Healthy Schools, Healthy People, It’s a SNAP program. ACI also promoted the KEY Pledge Laundry Packet Safety Campaign, urged attendees who work with parent groups to share ACI’s messages and educational resources about keeping children safe in the home when using liquid laundry packets.
