Martha Chapin is the Associate Director for Education & Web Services for the American Cleaning Institute® (ACI). Martha has been with ACI since 2008 and worked for the American Red Cross for 18 years. She has 30 years of experience teaching children and adults about a variety of health and safety topics. As the editor of Clean and Happy Nest blog (and before that, Cleaning Matters, ACI's bi-monthly consumer education newsletter), her current focus is on the safe and proper use and storage of cleaning products. She manages the Healthy Schools, Healthy People It's a SNAP annual awards program. This joint initiative of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and ACI strives to to improve health by making hand cleaning an integral part of the school day.

Martha is also responsible for managing websites for the association and, the Healthy Schools,Healthy People website and a variety of social media channels. In 2014, Martha launched a blog and mapped more than 100 archives for the Catholic University of American student chapter of the Society of American Archivists - CUA@SAA.

Martha received her Masters in Library and Information Science from the Catholic University of America and Bachelors from the University of Maryland.
