Assessments of the availability of toxicological test data for high production volume chemicals (HPVC) concluded that a significant number of HPVC have little or no publicly available data. Voluntary programs to complete the SIDS profiles by 2005 were initiated by U.S. EPA and the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA). ACI has facilitated the compilation and development of hazard data on HPV oleochemicals and chemicals used as cleaning product ingredients for incorporation into a publicly available database.
