ACI is urging California officials to take another look at proposed rules governing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in cleaning and fabric care products.

ACI responses to a June 2010 EPA letter requesting that companies limit the number of confidential business information (CBI) claims made under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). ACI supports EPA’s efforts to bring further discipline to CBI claims made under TSCA, but says it is essential that transparency demands be balanced with the need to protect valuable proprietary information that would be of great interest to foreign and domestic competitors.
