Jan 13, 2011 iStreem Webinar

02:00 PM - 03:30 PM

The American Cleaning Institute® (ACI – formerly The Soap and Detergent Association) is offering a free webinar January 13, 2011 to outline iSTREEM™. Presenters will include Dr. Paul DeLeo, ACI; Dr. Scott Dyer, Procter & Gamble, and Dr. Xinhao Wang, University of Cincinnati. The webinar will be held Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 2:00-3:30 pm EST. Space is limited, so reserve your webinar seat now!

What is iSTREEM? It’s a web-based computer model which will predict the concentration of a chemical used in "down-the-drain" products at the discharge of more than 12,000 wastewater treatment plants, at the intake of downstream municipal drinking water treatment facilities, and in approximately 28,000 river reaches covering over 200,000 river miles across the continental United States.

"iSTREEM is a valuable new tool to promote product stewardship and regulatory compliance for chemical suppliers and manufacturers of formulated products of all sizes," said Dr. Paul DeLeo, ACI’s Senior Director of Environmental Safety.

The model has been scaled at both the national level (e.g., approximately 28,000 river reaches covering over 200,000 river miles) and at the regional/watershed scales (e.g., Trinity River, TX; Willamette River, OR).

Attendees will be provided access to iSTREEM for future use (at no cost) along with the underlying principles of its development and the necessary training to run simulations and manipulate the generated output.

The webinar will be held Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 2:00-3:30 pm EST. Reserve your webinar seat now at: https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/379362435.
