Laundry Detergent Alternatives
A Technical Review
Introduction
In response to numerous inquiries about certain disc, globe and compact disc "alternatives" to laundry detergents, the American Cleaning Institute (formerly The Soap and Detergent Association) commissioned a technical review of claims for these products. This analysis demonstrates that detergent "alternative" products claiming "structured" water as their active cleaning system are promoting ineffective products based on false science. Such "alternatives" do not provide cleaning comparable to traditional laundry detergents, which can be used without harm to humans and the environment. In fact, these products clean no better than water alone.
