In the news this week:

AkzoNobel has published its integrated Report 2016 that shows not only the company’s financial results but also its environmental, human and social performance. The report highlights AkzoNobel’s company-wide eco-efficiency review, materiality assessment, and 3D profit and loss model. In addition, the report compiles a detailed assessment of AkzoNobel’s contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Henkel published its 2016 Sustainability Report, which highlights performance toward Henkel’s long-term sustainability strategy to achieve more with less. The new comprehensive digital reporting format showcases Henkel’s strong sustainability performance, leading positions in international ratings and clear priorities for the future, including a goal to triple its efficiency by the year 2030.

SC Johnson announced an acre-for-acre matching challenge to help protect the Amazon rainforest. The acre challenge is part of SC Johnson’s partnership with Conservation International (CI) to support the new virtual reality film Under the Canopy. For every acre of rainforest protected through the CI donation page, the company will provide an acre-for-acre match.
