ACI Job Opening - Senior Manager, Membership

Position Summary:

Established in 1926, the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) is dedicated to advancing public understanding of the safety and benefits of cleaning products. ACI’s purpose is to serve the growth and innovation of the U.S. cleaning products industry by advancing the health and quality of life of people and protecting our planet. ACI achieves this through a continuous commitment to sound science and being a credible voice for the cleaning products industry.

ACI is currently seeking an experienced membership professional with at least 5 years’ experience to lead its member services efforts. The Senior Manager, Membership will strategize, plan, and implement activities to promote member retention, growth, and engagement. This position will manage the day-to-day aspects of ACI’s membership activities, to include building and enhancing regular contact with member company representatives, improving member participation in ACI activities, and membership recruitment. This position will lead efforts in the implementation and management of ACI’s Future Leaders Program and the Regional ACI Member Connect Program.

To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must be able to build and sustain successful relationships, communicate persuasively and write effectively. The individual must be well organized and have the ability to think strategically, while also managing the day-to-day administrative details required to meet organizational and department goals.

This position reports to the Vice President, Sustainability, Communication and Membership.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably with a business or marketing concentration or related field
  • Five plus years’ experience in managing member service initiatives/programs in a non-profit trade association
  • Experience in developing membership recruitment, retention, and engagement campaigns is a must
  • Excellent skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, verbal, and writing skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Proficient in maintaining a membership database
  • Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends, as needed
  • Must be flexible and resourceful under pressure
